Planning the visit
Two or three days suit Kochi. The international airport is well outside the historic core; metro, ferries, buses and app cabs serve different parts of the urban area. October to March is most comfortable. Use ferries where practical because road distances across the harbour can be deceptive.
Food
Kerala seafood, appam, stew and regional meals are characteristic, while Fort Kochi also has a broad café and international restaurant scene.
