Hello — I’m Ravi. I build things on the web, read more history than is strictly reasonable, and travel whenever the calendar allows it. This site is where all of that gets written down.
Four archives, each one built slowly. I write things down partly to understand them properly — the act of explaining something to an imagined reader tends to expose the parts you only thought you understood — and partly because the version of me from five years ago would have found most of this genuinely useful.

Most of what I have to say ends up here rather than on social media, which suits me. If something on this site was useful — or wrong, or worth arguing with, or you have a recommendation you think belongs on one of these pages — do say. The best additions here have come from someone else pointing at what I had missed.
