Three rules for the day

Don't react, smile and speak, and say the true thing the next day with courtesy.

These three came from one class.

1. Don't react. When something provokes me, I do not answer it in the heat of the moment.

2. Speak with a smile. If I must say something right away, I say it with a smile.

3. Say the true thing later, with courtesy. If the matter is real, I raise it the next day, truthfully and politely, once I am calm. In Hindi the phrase I wrote down was satyata par sabhyata se: with truth, and with civility.

There was also a rule for the end of the day: before sleeping, in meditation, ask forgiveness for what went wrong.

All of this is new to me, and I am a beginner at it.
