Affirmations I write

The short sentences I copy out in my notebook, and why I keep the notebook by my pillow.

A practice from class: write a page of short sentences in the present tense, as if they are already true. The note I made beside it: keep the notebook next to the pillow.

Here are the general ones. The ones about my own family and work stay in the notebook.

  • I am a powerful being.
  • I respond out of my choice. I do not react to situations.
  • I am calm and stable always.
  • I am always happy, fearless, confident and peaceful.
  • I am always before time.
  • I accept people, and people accept me.
  • Past is past. I release. I let go.
  • My relationships are strong and built on trust.
  • I don't need to fill every silence. I can rest in my own company.

And the same idea in Hindi, from another page:

  • Every action of mine brings good.
  • I am radiant. I am a pure soul.
  • My home is heaven.
  • I put a full stop (bindi) on old things. I live in today.
  • The prayers and good wishes of God are a shield around me.
  • The atmosphere around me is pure and full of energy.

A line I added under them: higher-vibration thoughts protect us from lower energy. And one for the soul: purity, cleanliness and good deeds (punya). The more values I have, the more powerful I am.

Another of the notes: burn the account of wrong deeds, and grow the account of good ones.
