Overview
The Khajuraho Temples are a celebrated group of medieval stone temples in Madhya Pradesh, created under the Chandela rulers. The surviving monuments are distributed across western, eastern and southern groups and are valued for architectural composition, sculptural density, religious diversity and the sophistication of their narrative and decorative programmes.
