Give your best estimate if you don't remember exact dates — a month and year is fine. What matters most is that this stays consistent with what you say at your interview, not that it's precise to the day.

A past refusal is not something to hide or minimise — the official form asks about it directly, and consular officers can see prior case history regardless. Note it factually here so you're prepared to discuss it consistently and briefly if asked.

As of our last review, standard B-1/B2 applicants are not required to list social media identifiers on the DS-160 the way certain other visa categories are. Always follow whatever the official form itself asks for at the time you apply — do not assume this note stays accurate.

The official form's security questions are broad and mostly answered "No" by typical tourist/business applicants. Answer every question truthfully and don't over-explain — a short, direct, honest answer is what's expected, not a long justification.

Photo readiness I have a recent (within 6 months), plain white background photo ready that meets the official photo requirements.
